Lehlé Baldé MSc

Lehlé Baldé is a multi-lingual, results-driven, and dedicated award-winning communications and marketing professional who partners with organizations, companies, and individuals to grow their brands and facilitate engaging and memorable conversations as panel moderator and event host. Lehlé is the recipient of the Future Awards Africa for the category of ‘intrapreneurship’ 2020, she was also named top 50 women in media in Africa by the Media Awards.

Over the years, Lehlé’s engagement with policymakers, business leaders, the youth, and the general public through various media platforms contributed to shedding light on socio-economic issues including financial inclusion, impact investing, and financial literacy for the young Africans.

Her work includes organizational strategy, forging partnerships, media production, high-level event management, panel moderation, and hosting. Lehlé is also a brand ambassador for Sparkle PLC, a leading digital bank.

Lehlé currently works at West Africa’s leading provider of business intelligence and news, BusinessDay Media, as the editor of the BusinessDay Weekender’, an intersection between business, lifestyle, and living. Previously she was a senior associate in the department of strategy, innovation, and partnership.

Lehlé has worked in the private and public sector in Canada, the U.K, Mozambique, Cameroon in corporate communication, digital transformation, and development project management. Lehlé Baldé has lived in 8 African countries, is very passionate about the continent of Africa, and is actively contributing to Agendas 2030 and 2063.

She has lived in over 11 countries: Canada, Madagascar, U.K, Kenya, Italy, Swaziland, Rwanda, Cameroun, Senegal, Mozambique, Nigeria and has visited many more. She speaks French and English fluently in addition to conversational Spanish.

Ms. Baldé holds a BA in communication from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a master’s degree in international marketing Strategy from the University of Northampton in the United Kingdom.

She is the anchor of Financial Inclusion Today a radio show program on Rhythm 93.7 powered by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the anchor of Impact Investing Today in partnership with the Ford Foundation.  The radio show is the first of its kind in the world and started as an effort to foster conversation and raise awareness on financial inclusion issues in Nigeria. Ms. Baldé is also the columnist behind BusinessDay Culinary Delights’ which is a weekly column that tells positive food stories out of the amazing restaurants in Nigeria. She was the editor of the Business Day CEO magazine a digital magazine that tells the stories of African millennial entrepreneurs. She is the co-producer of The Bridge Talk Show season 2 and 3 which is a television program aimed to bridge the financial knowledge and information gap for millennials. Season 1 was sponsored by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Season 2 and 3 are sponsored by First City Monument Bank and FIRS (Federal Inland Revenue Services). She regularly moderates conferences and panels on issues she is passionate about. Ms.Baldé is particularly passionate about financial inclusion, culinary experiences, travel, writing, socio-economic development, human rights, and the continent of Africa.
